LPHS Dance Company is putting on its Spring Dance Concert this week. Come see our incredibly talented dancers perform. The show will be held at 6:30pm on Wednesday April 26, Thursday April 27, and Friday April 28 in LPHS' historic Little Theater.

HOSA and Science Club are sponsoring a trip to the Griffith Observatory May 13th from 3:30pm to 9:00pm! This is a great opportunity to have fun with your friends while stargazing, touring the many exhibits, and learning fun science facts! Transportation and entry are included for the low, low fee of $5. But hurry, space is limited. Pick up your permission slip today in room 119.

Seniors: The University of California’s university wide Analytical Writing Placement Examination (AWPE) will be administered on Saturday, May 13, 2017 to students who have been admitted to a UC campus for Fall 2017 and have not satisfied the Entry Level Writing Requirement by other means. You should have received a letter in early April regarding the exam requirements and your AWPE testing location. You will Not be required to test if the UC has received any of the following test scores that satisfy the Entry Level Writing Requirement:
- 30 or better on the ACT, English Language Arts or Combined English/Writing section or
- 680 or better on the College Board SAT Reasoning Test, Writing section (last administered January 2016); or
- 3 or above on either Advanced Placement Examination in English or
- If you have successfully completed a UC-transferable English composition course offered by a college or university.

Every March, the state Assembly honors women from across the state for their remarkable contributions to the community in celebration of Women’s History Month. This year, Angeles Martinez (an LPHS alumna) was honored for her hard work.
