Principal's Message

Dear Warrior Community and Family,

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to you. My name is Fernando Sanchez and I am thrilled to be the new principal at La Puente High School.  I am honored that this community/school district has chosen me to lead the Warrior Family. This year we are celebrating 100 years of educating our students in this community and I am personally inviting you to be part of our special year by getting involved. This celebration makes my new role extra special because I am a Warrior graduate from the class of 1990. I have also been part of the administration team at La Puente for the past seven years and in the district for sixteen years.

I am eager to help continue to move La Puente along the path of excellence. I will continue to work diligently with parents and faculty to foster an atmosphere that promotes a learning community characterized by: academic excellence, trust, respect, community involvement, and recognition of both student and staff achievement.

I feel that my responsibility as the Principal is to ensure your child receives a quality education within a safe, respectful environment. I know the staff at La Puente High School shares that same focus. As the demands and complexities of teaching children increase, it becomes more evident that we all need to work together to insure that our students reach their potential. I am a firm believer in the home/school connection, therefore do not hesitate to call or email me if you ever have a concern about something or a question about a specific situation or procedure please

I believe that all of us, the school and the community, must work together in an extended family environment to insure success for all our students.  I am committed to working in collaboration with you to continue to develop and implement our shared vision. Working together as a team we will move forward in our mission this new school year to create a nurturing, disciplined, and challenging environment in which all students can learn at optimum levels and become responsible members of society.  We have so much to be proud of as together we celebrate 100 years of the Warrior Family Pride.

Please feel free to contact me at the school with any questions, concerns, or just to introduce yourself.

Fernando Sanchez Jr.
