What is AVID:
- A college preparatory program
- An academic elective class (4 year commitment)
- A program that helps students qualify for attendance to a four-year university
- To provide academic instruction and support to students
- To give students college level entry skills
- To motivate program students to seek a college education
- To increase the participant's level of career awareness
