LPHS: One of America's Best High Schools
La Puente High School has been ranked on The Daily Beast’s 2014 list of America’s top high schools!
The survey used six indicators to compare public high schools in the U.S., with graduation and college acceptance rates weighed most heavily. Other criteria included: college-level courses and exams, percentage of students with free or reduced lunch, as well as SAT and ACT scores - another mark of how well a school prepares students for college.

La Puente High School makes list of America's Best High Schools in 2013
Newsweek's ranking highlights the best 2,000 public high schools in the nation—high schools that have proven to be the most effective in turning out college-ready grads. The list is based on six components:
- Graduation rate
- College acceptance rate
- AP/IB/AICE tests taken per student
- Average SAT/ACT scores
- Average AP/IB/AICE scores
- Percentage of students enrolled in at least one AP/IB/AICE course
